This role offers you the opportunity to play an influential and highly visible role as our company grows -- half of our major strategic initiatives involve our decision engine (we use Blaze Advisor). Right off the bat you will be working on the development and enhancement of Blaze in Credit, and we expect to use it soon in other areas like Funding, Servicing etc., meaning you'll be able to make a broad impact. To be a good fit for this opportunity we would prefer you have both auto industry experience as well as decision engine experience, but we will consider a strong developer/coder with .Net and/or J2EE experience. What Else You'll Bring to the Table

In addition to the qualifications detailed above, you'll need:

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information systems, computer science, or a business discipline.
• Experience in the automotive industry (loan processing) preferred but not required.
  
• Experience in Business Rules architecture. For instance, Business Rule Automation, Business Rule Management, and/or Business Rule Discovery/Analysis.
• 3+ years relevant work experience as a Business or Functional Analyst.
• Demonstrated expertise in business processes and technology integration to provide solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in the creation of functional specifications with traceability to business requirements, and system knowledge to approve design specifications in response to the functional specifications.
• Object-oriented programming knowledge.
• The ability to work independently to deliverable dates in a results oriented environment.
• Knowledge and experience in component development (J2EE and/or .NET).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Decision Engines - e.g. Blaze Advisor or JRules preferred but not required.
• Sun Certified Java Architect and/or Microsoft MCSE Certification is preferred but not required.

More About Your Role

To be sure we're providing a complete picture; here are some additional details about your role.

We'll look to you to take a proactive approach to helping the business make the best use of available technology, including identifying and resolving functional business requirements. We want you to demonstrate your expertise in improving and/or enhancing the existing business rules solutions and in exploring/developing new solutions in other business domains.

While you'll need to ensure we set up and execute on necessary tactical changes, this role extends far beyond maintenance and will include significant work on new strategic initiatives.

Your specific activities will include:

• Serving as business rule product specialist for the project team.
• Identifying and resolving key business challenges, applying best practices to the architecture of development projects.
• Creatively designing and prototyping key functionality.
• Capturing business rules, business concepts, and terms from documents, process analysis, and knowledge elicitation sessions.
• Developing rules and necessary architecture in Blaze Advisor for the identified projects.
• Working with Requirements Analysts, Enterprise Architecture, and Delivery on complex or enterprise projects as directed.
